Transformative travel experiences as our international restorative justice: youth healing scars created by war
"I saw poverty and saw just how much they appreciated that we took out time to visit their country and how much they appreciated our very presence; they loved everything and anything we did in the classrooms and what we played with them. When I played soccer with the kids at the first school, boy, were they happy. When we played soccer outside of Casa Maya I had a youth come up to me they next day while we were at the daycare center asking if we were going to play again that day. They genuinely appreciated us." -Angel (age 14)
